Hoops For Heart is a great new basketball event. Kids build basketball skills through games like Hot-Shot Blitz or 3-on-3 tournaments, obtain donations and earn super prizes based on the dollars they raise.
Hoops For Heart was developed by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. These same two organizations developed Jump Rope For Heart.
Still not convinced about holding a Hoops For Heart event? Here are three common concerns—and the answers that address them
"It's too much work."
Hoop For Heart requires little planning, takes only a small amount of time and brings a host of benefits. The only bookkeeping that's involved is counting the money and completing the prize order form. Plus, parents and students are often willing helpers. The AHA also stands behind you, providing the full support of both volunteers and staff.
"We can't support every worthwhile organization."
Hoop For Heart is more than a fund raiser. It combines physical activity with a comprehensive educational program.
"I can't be locked in to a specific time"
Hoop For Heart is extremely flexible. You can schedule it whenever it's most convenient.
